OSMC is located at 15 Orange Street, Canterbury, which runs parallel to the main High Street shops and is situated just a few yards from the Marlowe Theatre. As you enter and walk through our own exclusive double doors at street level, you proceed up our sweeping staircase to the first floor (our Chaucer gallery) which then leads you through to the grand hall (our Becket Gallery), a former ballroom.

Evan Parker is one of the great legends of jazz and improvisation and Paul Booth is one of the most exciting jazz saxophonists to have emerged in recent years. They join forces with a host of outstanding improvisers to create an extraordinary evening of new improvised work that crosses the boundaries of classical, experimental and electronic music. The evening is in several parts and is guaranteed to makes you think about the relationships, contrasts and similarities between a wide variety of genres.
