Canterbury Cat Society based in Kent is a small, independent charity dedicated to cat welfare that was established over 50 years ago.For the past 15 years rescued cats have been housed in chalets in a garden in North Canterbury, Kent.
Priority is given to sick, stray and ill- treated cats which are all examined by a vet, tested for F.I.V. and Feline Leukaemia Virus, treated for injuries or infections and neutered if appropriate. Some with disabilities are given permanent shelter.
Accommodation and standards of care are outstanding and because this is a small enterprise we are able to get to know each cat individually and find the most appropriate home. We are also able to provide round the clock care and have a wealth of knowledge and experience of cat needs and behaviour.
Only a handful of cats have been returned over the last fifteen years
