Batemans
Batemans was the home of author Rudyard Kipling. The house has been left just as he left it and reflects his oriental tastes. Pleasant gardens run down to the River Dudwell and a working watermill. Kipling's 1928 Phantom 1 Rolls-Royce is on display. There's a shop, tea-room and a dog crêche The garden is open free of charge in November and December.
