The history of Chiddingstone Castle can be traced back to the early 1500s, and during its life, the castle has undergone a number of architectural changes and has been owned and lived in by an eclectic mix of people and families.Stunning Egyptian and Buddhist artefacts, magnificent Japanese armour, and beautiful Jacobean paintings are on display in the many outstanding collections. Set in 35 acres of grounds including a lake open to fishermen, a rose garden, and magnificent woodland, the Castle is an ideal venue to host your event, enjoy a fairytale wedding or arrange a group visit with a difference.
Younger visitors can discover Samurai Warriors, Egyptian Tombs and Castle Ghosts with the help of ‘Alex the Explorer’ while a charming Victorian Tea Room and our small shop all serve to complement a memorable visit.
