A great Kent Beach. Leysdown Beach on the Isle of Sheppey is a traditional seaside resort, boasting excellent views over the Thames Estuary towards Essex. The beach is a glorious location to visit, and offers a combination of sand and shell with shallow waters making it ideal for paddling. This traditional seaside resort features an abundance of amenities, including amusement arcades, souvenir shops and a variety of cafes, fish and chip shops and pubs. Running parallel to the main street is the 'Spinny', a grassy picnic area lined with attractive flower beds.
Dogs are not allowed on the beach from April to September, and only on a lead on the promonade.
