Originally built for the Millennium celebrations, it has been transformed into a sports and entertainment arena with shops, restaurants and more. It opened to the public in June 2007.
During the Games, the Dome will host Gymnastics, Wheelchair Basketball and the finals of the Basketball competition. The arena will seat 20,000 spectators for the Basketball final and 16,500 for the Gymnastics.
