Gymnastics: Artistic
Situated in mid-Kent on the outskirts of the county town, the Pegasus Gymnastics Club occupies a secluded rural site surrounded by countryside of special scientific interest. The Club is located approximately 80km from the Olympic competition site and has weather conditions close to London, making it easy for participants to travel to the site and adjust to the climate.
The gymnastics hall is just a short walk from the accommodation and ancillary services in a 4-star hotel and leisure club. This combination of training and leisure activities in attractive surroundings provides for both serious training and real relaxation. Easy access also makes local site seeing an attractive option.
Camp staff have experience of hosting camps for overseas visitors and we can provide speakers of both French and Romanian, as well as English.
Many of the facilities at the hotel and training hall can be made available on an exclusive basis for the booking period, but the fitness, weight-training, steam room and leisure pool will only be available on a shared basis.
The training hall is complete with full apparatus for men's and women's artistic gymnastics, in addition to many training stations. The hall has good ventilation and is well insulated, providing a comfortable temperature even in hot weather. The hall has a wide variety of landing modules and safety mats, permitting numerous repetitions without stress to the gymnast.
During previous camps, participants have commented on the high-performance quality of the floor area and the 18m tumble track which are particularly suitable for senior gymnasts.
The versatility of the venue and the quiet location provide a stress-free training environment, which will provide an ideal preparation camp for the London 2012 Games.
Hosting experience
The club has a wealth of experience of hosting training camps, for UK and overseas visitors; we have welcomed gymnasts from Slovenia, Russia, Belgium, Romania and Poland.

In 2004 Courtney Orange from Zimbabwe used the event as preparation for the Commonwealth Games in Manchester.
