Polo Farm Sports club is keen to work with an international team in the run-up to the 2012 Olympics. Plans are currently underway for further expansion to include an indoor centre and new hospitality area. A new physiotherapy suite, medical centre and sports science facility in conjunction with Christ Church University are targeted for completion by 2012.
Canterbury is located with easy access to the Olympic Village, the port of Dover and Manston Airport. It is a beautiful part of England, and our close links with local businesses and hotels will make anything possible.
Polo Farm Sports Club is a privately-owned sports facility that prides itself on the finest sporting facilities. There is a new indoor tennis facility which opened in 2006, with all of the disabled facilities that would be expected. There are an additional six outdoor sandbased astroturf courts. There is plenty of parking and a club house for refreshments. The club is situated within two kilometres of Canterbury city centre and within an hour of the Olympic Village. It is a quiet, friendly and welcoming club that is rapidly becoming a centre of excellence for Tennis in south east England.
Hosting experience
Polo Farm Sports Club has hosted numerous hockey finals from under 13 level to national finals. We host an international festival every year at Easter for 48 teams and have hosted numerous training weekends for international sides, including Great Britain. The European over 60s international finals were held at Polo Farm in 2007.
Polo Farm has huge experience in organising national and international events. It currently hosts Kent matches in Tennis, national league matches, international Hockey, national finals (Hockey) and a huge Easter Festival for over 600 people.
