Sutton Valence is a private boarding school in a beautiful location on a ridge overlooking the Weald of Kent, located about 10km outside the Kent county town of Maidstone. Although we are based in a rural location, there are excellent transport links being close to the motorway network and is 45 minutes by road from Gatwick airport, about 70 minutes from Heathrow and Stansted, and 45 minutes from the Channel ports. A mainline railway station with services to London and Dover is located approximately five kilometres away.

The school has 20ha of sports fields and has significantly improved its sporting facilities in recent years: a new sports hall with conditioning suite was opened in 2001 and it is proposed to complete a new floodlit all-weather athletics track in 2008, which will be extended and improved over the following two years.

The School has three boarding houses on site which can accommodate a total of 130 people, all less than five minutes' walk from the sporting facilities; there are three major international-standard hotels within 15 minutes by road.

Hosting experience
The athletics track is currently under development but when complete will be the home for the local athletics club and will host both club and regional competitions on a regular basis from 2009.

County level competitions have been hosted in the sports hall since its opening in 2001.
